PTA Mobile Registration Temporarily Suspended: DIRBS System Pakistan Offline on 6–7 December
The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) announced that PTA mobile registration will be suspended temporarily. The DIRBS system Pakistan will go offline from 10:00 PM on Saturday, 6 December, until Sunday evening, 7 December 2025. This affects all device verification, registration, and blocking operations.

The suspension follows scheduled maintenance coordinated with the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR). PTA urged users with new or imported mobile devices to complete PTA mobile registration before the maintenance begins.
During this period, the DIRBS system Pakistan will be unable to process registrations or verify devices. Unregistered or newly purchased phones cannot be activated or blocked until the system resumes. PTA advised users to check device status in advance.
This temporary suspension ensures smoother operations and better performance of the DIRBS system Pakistan after maintenance. The system tracks all mobile devices, blocks unregistered phones, and enforces compliance with import and taxation rules.
PTA reminded users that all schools, offices, and individuals relying on mobile services should plan accordingly. Those missing the window will need to wait until after 7 December for registration.
Officials confirmed that once the DIRBS system Pakistan resumes, all functions, including verification, registration, and blocking, will return to normal. Users are advised to avoid buying unregistered devices during the downtime.
