Israel has provided back up earlier in operation Sindoor in May 2025 confirmed by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. In the operation, India bombed the Pakistani sites in the pretext of the attack on terrorists.
Netanyahu met the Indian ambassador to Israel, JP Singh, in Jerusalem where they discussed expanding cooperation in security and economics between Israel and India. Netanyahu later met senior Indian journalists and answered questions on Israel’s role in Operation Sindoor.
According to Indian media reports, Netanyahu confirmed that Israeli-made weapons, including HARPY drones and the jointly developed Barak-8 missile, were used by India in Operation Sindoor. “The things we provided before worked very well on the field,” Netanyahu said, highlighting that Israel’s weapons were battle-tested and effective.
Indian channels reported that Israel support India operation Sindoor extended to deploying HARPY and SkyStriker loitering munitions, targeting Pakistani air defense and surveillance systems.
