Relief for Consumers: Petrol Prices in Pakistan Drop by 12 Rupees/Liter

In a major development, Federal Minister of Finance, Ishaq Dar, has made a groundbreaking announcement regarding a substantial decrease in petrol price in Pakistan. The Ministry of Finance has promptly issued a notification outlining the revised prices of petroleum products, which will come into effect immediately.

The nation eagerly awaited Ishaq Dar’s address, during which he unveiled the highly anticipated news. Effective from tonight at 12 o’clock, the price of petrol is set to witness a remarkable reduction of 12 rupees per liter for the next 15 days. This move comes as a relief to consumers who have burdened by escalating fuel costs in recent months.

A Step Towards Affordability: Finance Minister’s Vision for Public Well-being

With this reduction, petrol will now be available at the new price of 270 rupees per liter, down from its previous rate of 282 rupees. This price adjustment is expected to alleviate the financial strain on individuals and businesses across various sectors, providing much-needed respite and room for economic growth.

Moreover, the Finance Minister also highlighted a substantial decrease of 30 rupees per liter in the price of diesel. Consequently, diesel will now be obtainable at a reduced rate of 258 rupees per liter, compared to its previous price of 288 rupees. This significant price cut will not only benefit the transport industry but also have a positive ripple effect on other sectors reliant on diesel fuel.

Ishaq Dar further emphasized that the prices of other petroleum products have also revised downward. Kerosene oil, widely used for domestic purposes, will witness a decrease of 12 rupees per liter. Its new price stands at 164 rupees and 7 paisas per liter, providing relief to households and individuals dependent on this essential fuel source.

In an appeal to transporters, the Finance Minister urged them to align their fares with the reduced fuel costs. This would allow the benefits of the price reduction to reach the public directly, fostering a more affordable and accessible transportation system.
