Saudi Arabia announced a key update to the Umrah visa process starting June 10, 2025. International pilgrims are now required to book accommodations in licensed hotels before applying for an Umrah visa.
As per the new policy, hotel booking is mandatory and must be completed through the Nusuk Masar digital platform. The Umrah visa 2025 application will only proceed once the accommodation booking has been digitally verified.
Pilgrims must book lodging only in hotels approved by the Saudi Ministry of Tourism. This regulatory move is intended to prevent issues such as fraudulent bookings, overbooking, and unlicensed accommodations.
All hotel reservations must be electronically validated via the Nusuk Masar platform before the visa application begins. This step is important for compliance with the updated visa process.
What Umrah pilgrims need to do:
- Register on Nusuk Masar
- Book accommodations in licensed hotels
- Ensure bookings are digitally verified
- Coordinate with authorized Umrah service providers
This policy applies to all international Umrah visa applicants and is effective immediately. To avoid delays or rejections, pilgrims advised to secure their hotel booking early and complete all required steps before initiating the visa process.
