A Saudi Arabia Umrah bus accident killed 45 pilgrims near Al-Mufarrihat on the highway between Makkah and Madinah. The crash happened around 1:30 AM (IST) when the bus carrying 46 passengers collided with a diesel tanker. The vehicle burst into flames, leaving almost no chance for passengers to escape.

Reports confirm most victims were from Telangana, India. The deceased include 22 women and 11 children. Tragically, 18 members of a single family spanning three generations died in the accident.
Only One Survivor in Saudi Arabia Umrah Bus Accident
Mohd Abdul Shoeb (24) from Hyderabad survived. He is in intensive care in a Saudi hospital. Rescue teams faced difficulties as the bus was completely burned. Bodies are severely charred, and authorities are preparing DNA tests for identification.

Government Response After Saudi Arabia Bus Accident
The Telangana government announced ₹5 lakh compensation for each deceased family. Two family members per victim will travel to Saudi Arabia for funerals. A team led by Minorities Welfare Minister Mohammad Azharuddin is on the ground to coordinate relief.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi expressed condolences. Owaisi is in contact with the Indian Embassy in Riyadh to support families and assist with medical care for the injured.
