Rain in Gaza Deepens Crisis as Ceasefire Violations Continue
Rain in Gaza and strong winds swept through displacement camps, flooding tents and exposing families to freezing conditions.
Al Jazeera reported soaked bedding and collapsed shelters. Infants face serious risk from cold and hypothermia. Health officials say several children have already died this month due to exposure and collapsing structures.

Aid groups say shelter materials, blankets, and medical supplies remain far below need. The rain in Gaza has made delivery even harder, especially in crowded camps.
At the same time, the Gaza ceasefire shows signs of strain. Despite the agreement that took effect on October 10, Israeli strikes continue in parts of the strip. On Sunday alone, four Palestinians were killed in new attacks, according to local health authorities.
Since the Gaza ceasefire began, at least 414 Palestinians have died in reported violations. Hospitals remain overwhelmed. Doctors work with limited medicine and damaged facilities, while cold weather increases illness.

International pressure continues to build. Aid agencies urge wider access for relief convoys. Political debate also continues abroad, including renewed discussion around Trump Gaza policy statements and future US involvement, though no policy shift has been announced.
