Govt to reduce Austria vaccination certificates validity from 12 to 9 months

Authorities have announced a new policy regarding the Austria vaccination certificates validity. Now it would reduce from 12 to 9 months from December.

From the first Monday of December Austria vaccination certificates validity will be 9 months. People who have completed the two dose of vaccination and have a certificate would now have 9th months validity.

Earlier, these certificates were valid for 12 months. However, the new policy regarding the vaccination certification validity has announced. It will be effective from the 6th December, first Monday of the month.

Austria currently recognizes all vaccine certificates as valid evidence of immunization. Holder must complete the vaccination European Medicines Agency (EMA) approved vaccines.

Other vaccines recognize by World Health Organization’s (WHO) are also accepted as valid evidence of travel exemptions.

AstraZeneca, Moderna, Pfizer/BioNTech, Johnson & Johnso,n Covishield, Sinovac, Sinopharm are acceptable for vaccination.
