IMF Chief Christine Lagarde Bashed India on Child Rape Incidents


Christine Lagarde, IMF Chief, spoke about child rape. She asked Indian authorities to wake up and focus more on women in the country. However, she released this statement in the context of recent rape and murder of two child girls. She lauded the country’s economic situation and said that what has happened is simply repulsive.

Christine Lagarde said that she believes that Indian authorities including Prime Minister Narendra Modi will give much importance to the issue. She further added it is an important matter for the safety of Indian Ladies. Christine said that it is not only an issue of discussing women. Talking as the International Monetary Fund opens its Spring gatherings, she said she criticized Modi not long ago at a get-together in Davos on the grounds that he had not specified ladies enough.

Christine Lagarde is a popular female rights activist. She said that they are my personal views and not of the government.

Women and Child Rape is Rising in India

The group assaults and murders of the two young ladies started across the country shock and exhibitions all through India.
