A devastating bus accident in the Iranian province of Yazd has claimed the lives of at least 28 Pakistani pilgrims. The incident occurred early Wednesday morning near the Taftan-Dehshir checkpoint, involving a bus carrying 53 passengers.
According to reports, the bus caught fire under circumstances still being investigated. Emergency services, including the Iranian Red Crescent, responded promptly to the scene, aiding the injured and transporting them to nearby hospitals.
The accident has left a deep sorrow among the Pakistani community, as many of the victims were from the cities of Larkana, Ghotki, and other parts of Sindh. Hospitals across Yazd have been placed on emergency alerts to handle the large number of injured people.
