Iran-Israel War Update: Multiple Killed in Missile Strikes, Blackouts Across Israel

Iran launched a large-scale missile attack on Israel early Monday, targeting multiple cities including Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, and Haifa. According to Israeli military sources, around 100 missiles were fired, and explosions were reported across major urban areas. Several rockets were intercepted, but damage occurred in multiple regions.

The Israeli military confirmed that early Monday strikes hit residential areas near the Mediterranean coast, with one missile striking a residential building. As per initial reports, at least five people were killed and 92 injured in the Monday attack.

Haifa’s power plant was hit, resulting in a major fire and widespread electricity outages across central Israel. Additional damages were reported in Tel Aviv and surrounding zones.

These attacks followed earlier Israeli airstrikes on Sunday, which targeted Iran’s missile launch sites and reportedly killed the head of IRGC’s intelligence unit. In retaliation, Iran launched a second wave of missile attacks early Monday.

Iranian sources claimed direct hits on Ben Gurion Airport and military targets. However, Israeli defense systems intercepted multiple drones and rockets approaching from Iran.

Since Friday, over 224 civilians have reportedly killed in Iran and at least 19 in Israel. Both nations have continued to exchange air and missile strikes over the past 72 hours.

Meanwhile, tensions have affected global markets. Oil prices rose significantly on Monday following the intensification of Iran-Israel conflict.

According to CBS News, U.S. officials revealed that former President Donald Trump recently vetoed an Israeli plan to assassinate Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

Military analysts warn that if the attacks continue, both countries could face higher civilian casualties and infrastructure damage. Iran has advised residents of occupied territories to evacuate, warning that no region in Israel will remain unaffected.
