Longest and Shortest Duration of Fasting in the World for Ramadan

The longest hours in Ramadan 2020 will be 20 hours 45 minutes in Russias Murmansk despite Argentinas Ushuaia will be having the shortest of 11 hours.

Ramadan 2020 is just a day after; members of the Muslim Community will be fasting with patience and liberalism.

Prayer timings of Fajar and Maghrib were calculated in the major cities of both countries on the anticipated first day of Ramadan.

Islamabad will be fasting for 15 hours 14 minutes. Russias Murmansk just has 3 hours of darkness, before the sun rises again at 1:41 am. On the opposite side, Ushuaia in Argentina has the briefest fasting time of 11 hours. The sun rises at 6:57am and set at 5:57pm. The fast in Dubai will be for 14 hours and 39 minutes on the fast day of Ramadan.

Strangely, countries where nightfall and dawn are excessively close (under 3 hours separated) or are interchangeable fatwas, have been given to permit Muslims to follow the timings of the nearest city that has obvious day and night timings.
