Mossad-led operations inside Iran have been confirmed by Israeli media following a major airstrike campaign targeting Iranian military and nuclear sites. The airstrikes, launched on June 13, 2025, involved more than 200 Israeli fighter jets and targeted key facilities in Tehran, Natanz, and other regions.
Israel stated that Mossad carried out coordinated covert operations within Iran prior to the air raids. These operations reportedly focused on disabling air defense systems and missile infrastructure, supporting the main assault under Operation Rising Lion. The Mossad-led sabotage missions were critical in weakening Iran’s ability to respond.
According to military sources, targets included Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) facilities, nuclear research centers, and missile launch sites. High-profile Iranian figures, including IRGC commander Hossein Salami and several nuclear scientists, were reportedly killed.
Iran responded by launching over 100 drones toward Israel. Many were intercepted. The Iranian government labeled the strikes a “declaration of war” and promised direct retaliation. The Iranian Foreign Ministry accused both Israel and the United States of aggression and said it would respond under international law.
