At least one people killed and four injured at YouTube Headquarters present at San Bruno, California. According to sources, a female shooter opened fire with the handgun and injured people. She also killed herself with a self-inclined gunshot. The woman was identified as Nasim Aghdam by the law enforcement officials.
Chaotic Scenes at Place of Incidence
A panic was created after the incident as gunshots were so loud as they heard throughout YouTube’s building. An employee revealed that people just started running and it made whole floor rumbling. Police officials said they received information about shooting around 1 p.m. and took an immediate action. YouTube management said a helpline was provided to employees so they remain updated about the current situation. Injured people were shifted to San Francisco General Hospital for the essential treatment.
Cause of Assault
According to the initial investigation, social media account and website associated with Nasim revealed that she was a huge critique of YouTube. She criticized YouTube for their decision to demonetize multiple YouTube channels. In addition, she also expressed her grievance about the loss of her channel viewership. Investigators are also investigating a local dispute between Nasim and her boyfriend, who is employed at YouTube.
