U.S. President Donald Trump has reiterated that Iran will not be allowed to build a nuclear bomb and expressed hope that Tehran will return to the negotiation table. In a recent statement reported by international media outlets, Trump emphasized the importance of diplomatic engagement to halt Iran’s nuclear ambitions.
According to foreign news agencies, President Trump said, “Iran cannot have an atomic bomb. We are hopeful that Iran will come back to the negotiating table.”
In a separate interview with an American broadcaster, Trump claimed that the U.S. was already aware of Israel’s operational plans in the region. However, he clarified that the U.S. military had no role in a recent operation, presumably referencing a covert Israeli mission that has gained international attention.
“The U.S. military did not participate in the operation. We are still hopeful that Iran will continue talks with us to stop its nuclear program,” Trump added.
Earlier, the U.S. President had also signaled a willingness to strike a deal with Iran, stating that negotiations were “close” and that he preferred a peaceful resolution over conflict.
“I want to make a deal with Iran. We are very close. I always prefer a friendly path, but there is also a risk of major conflict. Something could happen very soon,” Trump warned.
The latest remarks come amid rising tensions in the Middle East and ongoing concerns over Iran’s nuclear capabilities. Washington has repeatedly called on Tehran to adhere to international nuclear agreements and resume stalled talks.
