Turkey Reveals How the Khashoggi Murder in Saudi Consulate Was Violently Planned
On Monday, Turkey announced that the Khashoggi murder in Saudi consulate located in Istanbul was ‘savagely planned’. The Turkish officials added that the case will not remain a secret anymore as it has completely destroyed the image of Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman.
President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, upon pressuring Riyadh, has promised to unveil the “truth” about Journalist Khashoggi’s death.
Khashoggi, a 59-year-old Washington Post contributor, was mercilessly murdered almost on October 2 after he stepped inside the Saudi consulate located in Istanbul, Turkey.
After nearly two weeks of denial from Saudi Arabia, the officials finally admitted the murder of Khashoggi in the consulate.
Additionally, due to this case the spotlight has found its way to the crown prince of Saudi Arabia and global outcry is blaming him for the mishap. Although he has been reforming modern drives to better the kingdom of Saudia Arabia, he is now under streams of allegations from people worldwide. However, Riyadh denies all of the allegations which claim that the prince ordered murder of Khashoggi.
Recently, CNN International broadcast showed a CCTV footage of a man who looked like a Saudi official and was wearing Khashoggi’s clothes. He was seen walking outside the consulate, playing as a body double for the journalist, in efforts to create an alibi to falsely show that the journalist had left the consulate safely.
President Donald Trump‘s son-in-law, the White House adviser Jared Kushner, said he has asked Prince Mohammad to be fully transparent as “the world is watching.”
