England will play T20 and Test matches in September, Pakistan

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced on Tuesday that England will tour Pakistan in September. England for the first time in 17 years to play seven Twenty20 and three Test matches. The following year, New Zealand cancelled their trip to the South Asian nations due to security concerns. Moreoever, England cancelled their tour of Pakistan.

The first part of England’s tour begins on September 20 with seven Twenty20 Internationals at Karachi and Lahore. England will play three Test matches in December following the Twenty20 World Cup in Australia, the PCB announced in a statement.

Zakir Khan, PCB Director of International Cricket, stated that “we demonstrated our event planning and operational skills in the highly successful series against Australia in March/April and I am convinced we will be able to reproduce these when England visits us for the first time since 2005.”
