Cabinet decides to ease lockdown limitations after 9 May

The meeting would be done today in the presence of all the chief ministers. A nod to ease lockdown limitations by Cabinet.

The federal cabinet corded on Tuesday to ease the lockdown limitations after 9 May but the final decision was left to the National Coordination Committee (NCC).

This cabinet meeting is directed by Prime Minister Imran Khan, held up the decision for printing currency notes without coating for two months, and even dismissed the proposal to import 429 medicines and its raw material from India.

Shibli Faraz Information Minister explained to a press conference, that discussion on the pandemic of Coronavirus and medical situations was also the part of the meeting which was briefed by Planning Minister Asad Umer.

Faraz told reporters that the meeting will be held regarding coronavirus with all chief ministers. The meeting will decide to ease the lockdown limitation after May 9. The government issued the SOP that businesses will be running for specific times before Eid.

Dr. Sania Nishtar also briefed to the cabinet members on financial assistance providing under the Ehsas Programme. She further explained that so far, 8 million people are added to this list that needs assistance.

During the meeting, Imran Khan heard every minister?s suggestion and will decide after taking everyone into confidence. He also added that the prime minister and other ministers will be donating their one month?s salary to the Corona Relief Fund.

Also responded to the criticism from opposition parties, Faraz said that PMLN considers itself above the law when they were in power and considered their selves kings. The nation knows how they looted the country and they only launched the projects for personal gains.

Faraz also talked about PPP and questioned Saeed Ghani that why PPP is restricted to one province only. Today?s situation of Larkana and Sindh is worst than it was 50 years ago. On a personal note, Faraz also told the press conference that he had a test for coronavirus himself which came back negative.
