Application Process
The renewal process involves live data capturing, requiring the applicant’s physical presence. This process includes:
- Data entry
- Photograph
- Signature
- Thumb impression
All these are handled by trained Machine Readable Passport (MRP) staff using the latest technology. Applicants do not need to bring photographs or fill out application forms, as these are completed during the visit.
Appointment and Delivery Times
Walk-in services are not available for MRP applications. Appointments must be booked online here.
Due to current technical issues at the Passport headquarters in Islamabad, delivery times have been affected:
- Urgent Passports: Delivered within one month.
- Normal/Ordinary Passports: Delivered within two months.
