Shefali Jariwala, widely known as the Kaanta Laga girl, passed away on June 27, 2025, at age 42 in Mumbai. According to multiple media reports, Shefali Jariwala died following a suspected cardiac arrest at her residence in Andheri. Sources claim she was rushed to Bellevue Multispecialty Hospital by her husband Parag Tyagi and others but the medical team stated that Shefali expired before being taken to the hospital.. The official cause of death remains unconfirmed pending a post-mortem at Cooper Hospital.

Shefali Jariwala became famous at 20 for the 2002 Kaanta Laga remix music video, and widely known as Kanta Laga girl. She appeared in Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, Hudugaru, Baby Come Naa, Bigg Boss 13, and Nach Baliye. She was previously married to Harmeet Singh of Meet Bros before their divorce in 2009.
