Check Out This Custom Built Electric Suzuki Bolan

Rising fuel costs are driving innovation, and a local professor has undertaken an impressive project by converting a Suzuki Bolan into an electric vehicle (EV).

The visionary behind this project integrated a 20KW lithium iron phosphate setup, imported from China, emphasizing its lower risk of exploding.

This EV Bolan boasts a maximum speed of 100 km/h and a range of approximately 200km.

To enhance the user experience, an Android application has been developed to replicate meter data on smartphones. Impressively, the battery is designed to last for up to 2,000 charge cycles.

Modifications to the Bolan include an increased cabin height to accommodate 200 Ah batteries at 96W under the rear seat. The seating has also been adjusted to better suit commercial utility.

Charging is a breeze, taking just two hours with the help of a fast charger. The EV Bolan features a custom-built touch-sensitive digital meter displaying crucial information like speed, battery and motor temperature, range, and total distance traveled. Additional perks include a reverse camera and regenerative braking.

In a bid to enhance the vehicle’s utility, the owner plans to install a range extender in the future.

It’s estimated that the EV Bolan may cost between Rs. 2.5 to 3 million, though it’s important to note that this project is still in its prototype phase.
