Nishat Group has brought wrapped test units of Chery’s new-energy iCAUR V23 and V27 SUVs to Pakistan, signaling that local rollout plans are moving forward
Following the local introduction of Omoda and Jaecoo, Nishat Group is expanding its partnership with Chery through NexGen Auto to target Pakistan’s emerging lifestyle and electric vehicle market.
The appearance of these two models on local roads confirms that evaluation and testing phases have officially begun, though official retail prices and exact launch dates remain unannounced.
iCAUR V23, Compact and Fully Electric
The V23 is a compact, battery-electric SUV that uses a retro, boxy exterior design to stand out from standard rounded crossovers.
- Styling: Features circular LED headlights, squared wheel arches, chunky protective cladding and an upright body.
- Performance: International variants offer rear wheel drive and dual motor all wheel drive configurations and delivers around 208 horsepower. It runs on an 81.76 kWh battery and provides a claimed range of up to 430 kilometers.
- Features: Equipped with a 15.4 inch central touchscreen, wireless smartphone connectivity, ventilated front seats, and a 540 degree camera system.
iCAUR V27, Flagship Range-Extender SUV
Positioned above the V23, the V27 is a larger, mid-size adventure vehicle built for long-distance driving.
- Build: Features a tall stance, wider wheel arches, lower black cladding and a traditional rear mounted spare wheel
- Powertrain: Utilizes Range Extended Electric Vehicle (REEV) technology. Electric motors power the wheels and a 1.5 liter turbocharged petrol engine acts purely as an onboard generator to charge the battery. This setup bypasses public charging infrastructure limitations during long distance highway travel across Pakistan
