Geely’s latest teaser is an October 24 announcement in Pakistan with the EX2 hatchback and EX5 SUV expected. The Starray plug-in hybrid is also featured in the wider plan, while prices, bookings and the final event lineup is yet to be confirmed.
Bestway Automotive is bringing Geely vehicles to Pakistan under an agreement announced in July. The Bestway Group subsidiary will manage the distribution, with imported vehicles arriving first and local assembly planned later at the group’s existing plant in Karachi.
What’s Happening on October 24?
Geely Auto Pakistan’s teaser shows October 24, 2026, alongside the message “The wait is almost over.” The date follows a question about the launch, suggesting an announcement this Saturday.
Geely has not clarified whether the occasion will mark a sales launch, a public vehicle reveal or another announcement. The teaser also leaves the final event lineup unconfirmed.
The EX2 and EX5 Have Already Reached Pakistan
PakWheels published photographs of the EX2 and EX5 in Pakistan on September 26. Those sightings support expectations of an introduction soon, although neither confirms when sales or deliveries will begin.
Two Electric Cars and a Plug-in Hybrid
The planned range covers the EX2 electric hatchback, EX5 electric SUV and Starray EM-i plug-in hybrid. Overseas specifications offer an early reference, while Geely’s Pakistan equipment and battery choices are yet to be confirmed.
EX2: The Smaller Electric Option
Geely’s Ecuador-market EX2 pairs a 39.4 kWh battery with 114 hp, 150 Nm and rear-wheel drive. The brand lists up to 395 km under the New European Driving Cycle, or NEDC, laboratory test.
The hatchback would compete for buyers considering the Dongfeng Box and Chery Q, depending on local pricing. Geely reports 465,775 EX2 sales in 2025, making the model China’s best-selling car across all segments.
EX5: A Larger Electric Option
The EX5 is Geely’s fully electric compact SUV. Overseas versions use a 60.22 kWh battery and a 160 kW electric motor producing 320 Nm, with front-wheel drive. Geely advertises up to 495 km under NEDC testing in Indonesia.
Potential local rivals include the BYD Atto 3, Jaecoo J6 and Dongfeng Vigo.
Starray EM-i: Petrol and Electric Driving
The Starray EM-i combines a 1.5-litre petrol engine with an electric motor and a rechargeable battery. An overseas version uses an 18.4 kWh battery, with Geely listing up to 105 km of electric-only driving under NEDC testing in Indonesia.
Owners recharge the battery through an external power supply, while the petrol engine supports longer journeys. The Haval H6 PHEV would be a potential local rival. Geely has not confirmed the Starray’s appearance on October 24.
