Joining the ranks of Kia and Toyota, Honda Atlas Cars Limited has announced a price drop for its popular sedan, the Honda City 1.2L, in Pakistan. This reduction applies to both the manual and CVT variants, with the revised prices effective from March 15, 2024.
The Honda City 1.2L Manual now sports a price tag of Rs. 4,649,000, a decrease of Rs. 50,000 from its previous price. The Honda City 1.2L CVT sees a more substantial reduction of Rs. 140,000, bringing its new price down to Rs. 4,689,000.
Please note that these revised prices are provisional and may change without prior notice. They will apply to all orders invoiced from March 15, 2024, onwards. Any changes in government levies and taxes at the time of delivery will be borne by the consumers.
This unexpected wave of price reductions by local car manufacturers comes as a pleasant surprise, especially considering the current market indicators. Possible factors influencing these decisions could be the formation of a new government and the relative stability of the PKR against the dollar.
This trend bodes well for the local industry, which has been grappling with issues such as record-high car prices, delayed deliveries, and frequent shutdowns in recent years. With hopes of stability in the coming months, the industry is poised to pass on the benefits to consumers, stimulating market activity and boosting company sales – a positive sign for the overall economy.
