Performance Meets Style in the 2023 Hyundai Elantra Facelift

The 2023 Hyundai Elantra has received a facelift, with the South Korean automaker unveiling the mid-cycle update three years after the debut of the seventh-generation Elantra in March 2020.

The new design features the brand’s signature parametric grille, with a wider and shorter insert like the Tucson. The headlamps are sleeker, and the lower apron has a wide intake with diagonal trim surrounding the air channel at the bumper corner.

Additionally, the rear bumper boasts a U-shaped accent in body color to contrast the black lower section and decorative diffuser fins. The updated model also features new wheels and rear window pillar design that improves window integration.

Inside, the Elantra has a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and infotainment system. It has the dashboard layout remaining unchanged except for green seat upholstery options. In South Korea, the Elantra is furnish with a smart stream 1.6-liter naturally-aspirated four-cylinder petrol engine that produces 121 hp and 154 Nm of torque.

2023 Hyundai Elantra Engine:

The engine comes with the brand’s Intelligent Variable Transmission with eight virtual speeds. The Gamma 1.6-liter NA four-cylinder LPG engine produces 118 hp and 152 Nm with a six-speed automatic transmission. While a smart stream 1.6-liter engine with an electric motor produces 139 hp and 265 Nm.

The Elantra N line is powered by a smart stream 1.6-liter turbo four-cylinder engine with 201 hp and 150kW and 265 Nm. It comes with a choice of a six-speed manual or seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. The top-of-the-line Elantra N is equip with a Theta 2.0-liter turbo four that produces 276 hp and 392 Nm. It has a choice of a six-speed manual or eight-speed DCT.

While the timeline for the all-new Elantra’s debut in the ASEAN market is currently unknown. However the facelifted model is to launch this year. The recent Elantra is poised to continue Hyundai’s successful track record in the compact sedan segment. This offering drivers an array of choices in terms of performance, technology, and design.
