Suzuki India Launches New Alto Model at an Affordable Price of Just Rs. 3 Lac Rupees

Suzuki India, popularly known as Maruti Suzuki, has made the decision to halt production of its entry-level hatchback model, Alto 800. The company will now only sell the remaining units in stock, as it prepares to introduce a new and upgraded model called the Alto K10.

According to information available on Maruti’s official website, the Alto 800 currently priced between 354,000 to 513,000 Indian rupees. In Pakistani currency, this translates to approximately 1.235 million to 1.79 million Pakistani rupees. Comparatively, the Pakistani versions of the Alto priced between Rs2.6 million and Rs3 million.

The Suzuki Alto 2023 in Pakistan is currently in its eighth generation. This model initially introduced in the Pakistani automobile market in 1979 under different names such as Suzuki 800 and Suzuki FX. Over the years, the car underwent several updates and modifications, leading to its present eighth generation.

The eighth generation of the Suzuki Alto officially launched in Pakistan in 2014. It received a facelift in 2019 and relaunched in 2020 with further improvements.

When it comes to the engine specifications, there are notable differences between the Pakistani Alto and the Indian Alto K10.

The Pakistani Suzuki Alto 2023 comes equipped with a 658cc DOHC 12-valve, three-cylinder petrol engine. This engine has the capacity to generate 29 horsepower at 6,500 rpm and 56 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm. Additionally, all vehicles from Suzuki in Pakistan come with brakes specifically designed for their two-wheel drive feature. The VXR and VX trims offer a 5-speed manual transmission, while the VXL trim equipped with an auto gear shift transmission.

On the other hand, the Indian Alto K10 features a more powerful engine. It is equipped with a 998cc DOHC 4-valve, three-cylinder petrol engine capable of producing 67 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 90 Nm of torque at 3,500 rpm.

With the introduction of the new Alto K10, Suzuki aims to offer Indian consumers a more robust and dynamic driving experience compared to the previous Alto 800 model.

These changes in the Suzuki Alto lineup reflect the continuous efforts made by the company to meet the evolving demands of consumers and enhance their driving experience. The introduction of the Alto K10 expected to provide customers with a range of improved features and enhanced performance, setting a new benchmark in the entry-level hatchback segment.
