The department has made this decision to increase tax income in Punjab. According to them, they going to introduce a new system for vehicle transfer so both buyers and sellers of the vehicle will have to confirm the procedure with the help of biometric transfer.
This new system of verification will help to handle the misconduct seen in the market while helping in making the whole process more convenient for the buyer and the seller.
The government of Punjab has taken all necessary action for the implementation of a new biometric verification system.
As stated by the sources, the required machines for verification have already been bought and linked to the online system.
