FBR Launches New Income Tax Return Filing Support Service for Tax Year 2026

The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has introduced a new income tax return filing support service to help taxpayers resolve technical issues while submitting their Income Tax Returns for Tax Year 2026. The initiative aims to make the online filing process smoother, faster, and more convenient for individuals and businesses across Pakistan.
The official announcement from FBR stated that a dedicated technical support team has been set up to help taxpayers who encounter any issues related to the system while filing income tax returns online. The service will be designed to minimize delays and avoid disruptions in tax return filing.
The FBR updated this on its official X (formerly Twitter) account and said that the dedicated team will act swiftly on complaints regarding return filling via online mode. In case of any technical issues, taxpayers may inform [email protected].
The support team will give a response to every complaint raised and guide and provide solutions to taxpayers to successfully complete their income tax returns, officials said.
The new FBR income tax return filing service is a component of the authority’s initiatives to streamline digital tax services and enhance the tax filing experience. The FBR is working to resolve technical problems promptly to promote compliance and ease the burden for online filers.
To ensure timely assistance and avoid delays in filing Income Tax Returns for Tax Year 2026, the tax authority has recommended that all taxpayers file their Income Tax Returns by using the official email address for reporting any technical issues while filing the returns.
