The gold price in Pakistan witnessed a significant decline on Thursday after remaining on an upward trend for the past three days. The latest rates released by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA) showed a notable decrease in both gold and silver prices, following a drop in the international bullion market.
According to the association, the price of 24-karat gold per tola fell by Rs1,800, bringing the new rate to Rs432,036. Meanwhile, the price of 10 grams of 24K gold decreased by Rs1,543 to Rs370,401.
The decline in the local market came after gold prices eased globally. In the international bullion market, the price of gold dropped by $18 per ounce, settling at $4,096 per ounce.
Silver prices also moved lower in Pakistan. The price of silver per tola declined by Rs33, taking the new rate to Rs6,370.
Gold prices in Pakistan are largely influenced by fluctuations in the international market and changes in the exchange rate of the Pakistani rupee against the US dollar. Investors and jewelry buyers continue to monitor these developments closely as bullion prices remain volatile.
The latest gold and silver rates have been officially issued by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA).
