The gold price in Pakistan today witnessed another significant decline, following a drop in international bullion markets. According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of 24-karat gold per tola decreased by Rs2,500, bringing the new rate to Rs434,936.
The price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold also fell by Rs2,143, settling at Rs372,887 across local markets.
The decline in domestic gold prices comes after a drop in global bullion rates. In the international market, the price of gold fell by $25 per ounce, taking the global gold rate to $4,125 per ounce.
Meanwhile, silver prices in Pakistan also recorded a notable decrease. The price of silver per tola dropped by Rs120, reaching Rs6,559, according to the latest figures released by the association.
Gold prices in Pakistan are directly influenced by fluctuations in international bullion markets and the rupee-dollar exchange rate. Analysts say changes in global economic conditions, inflation expectations, and investor sentiment continue to impact precious metal prices worldwide.
With the latest decline, buyers and investors are closely monitoring market trends to see whether gold prices continue to fall or recover in the coming days.
