Gold Price in Pakistan Jumps by Rs10,000 Per Tola as International Gold Rates Soar

Karachi: Gold prices in Pakistan witnessed a massive increase on Tuesday, following a sharp rally in the international bullion market amid optimism over possible Iran-US negotiations.

According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of 24-karat gold per tola surged by Rs10,000, taking the new rate to Rs437,936. The significant increase reflects the impact of rising global gold prices on the local bullion market.

Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold increased by Rs8,573, reaching Rs375,459, making gold more expensive for investors and buyers across the country.

In the international market, the price of gold climbed by $100 per ounce, pushing the global gold rate to $4,155 per ounce. Market analysts attributed the sharp increase to renewed expectations surrounding possible negotiations between Iran and the United States, which have influenced investor sentiment and boosted demand for gold as a safe-haven asset.

Meanwhile, silver prices also recorded a notable rise in Pakistan. The price of silver per tola increased by Rs273, reaching Rs6,624, in line with the upward trend in precious metals.

Bullion traders expect gold prices to remain volatile in the coming days as investors closely monitor geopolitical developments, global economic indicators, and fluctuations in international commodity markets.
