Gold prices in Pakistan recorded a decline for the second consecutive day on Wednesday, following a drop in international bullion markets. The latest rates issued by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association show a decrease in both per tola and 10-gram gold prices, while silver prices moved higher.
According to the association, the price of 24-karat gold per tola fell by PKR 1,000, bringing the new rate to PKR 426,436. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold dropped by PKR 857, settling at PKR 365,600.
The decline in domestic gold prices came after a fall in the international market, where the price of gold decreased by USD 10 per ounce to USD 4,040. Global gold prices continue to influence local bullion rates, resulting in daily fluctuations in Pakistan’s gold market.
Meanwhile, silver prices moved in the opposite direction. The price of silver per tola increased by PKR 68, reaching PKR 6,291, according to the latest update from the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association.
Gold prices in Pakistan are closely linked to trends in the international bullion market and the rupee-dollar exchange rate. As global economic conditions continue to shift, local gold rates are expected to remain volatile in the coming days.
