Pakistan Petrol Price Today: Petrol Reduced by PKR 1, Diesel Price Increased

The federal government has announced revised petroleum prices in Pakistan, bringing a slight relief for petrol users while increasing the cost of high-speed diesel (HSD). The new fuel prices will come into effect from July 28.
The official notification reveals that the price of petrol has been lowered by PKR 1.00 per litre in Pakistan, making the new petrol price PKR 334.18 per litre.
In Pakistan, however, the price of the diesel has been raised by PKR 3.37 per litre. After the hike, the price of high-speed diesel will be PKR 386.83 per litre.
New Petroleum Prices in Pakistan
- Petrol: PKR 334.18 per litre (down by PKR 1.00)
- High-Speed Diesel (HSD): PKR 386.83 per litre (up by PKR 3.37)
The revised rates supersede the earlier rates that were in force till July 27 when petrol was selling at PKR 335.18 per litre and diesel at PKR 383.46 per litre.
Recent Fuel Price Changes
Since the launch of daily fuel price fluctuations, Pakistan has seen various price hikes and cuts in petroleum rates. Petrol prices rose by PKR 5.44 per litre and diesel by PKR 31.05 per litre on 18 July.
Prices had to be revised once again on July 21, after international oil markets closed, as petrol dropped PKR 0.35 per litre while diesel increased by PKR 5.71 per litre.
Fuel prices were also pushed up further in subsequent revisions. On the 22nd, 23rd and 24th of July, petrol and diesel prices rose, as global oil prices and market conditions were subject to fluctuation.
The latest announcement offers a small reduction in petrol prices, but transporters, businesses, and consumers relying on diesel are expected to face higher fuel costs from July 28.
