Pakistan Stock Exchange Surges Over 2,400 Points as Iran-US Ceasefire Hopes Lift Investor Sentiment

The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) witnessed a strong bullish trend on Monday as optimism surrounding a possible Iran-US ceasefire and renewed diplomatic talks boosted investor confidence, driving the benchmark KSE-100 Index sharply higher.
Trading opened well at the Pakistan Stock Exchange and the KSE-100 Index rose by over 1,000 points almost at the opening. Investors backed momentum buying all day as top of the day sentiment took a turn for the better in the region.
The KSE-100 Index rose more than 2,400 points during intraday trading, moving back to key support points of 176,000, 177,000 and 178,000.
The benchmark index went up 2,428 points to 178,356 at one point during the session.
Investors believed the hopes of easing tensions between Iran and the United States led to buying across key areas as they saw the prospect of a ceasefire and negotiations as a positive step toward regional stability and the financial markets.
The rally at the Pakistan Stock Exchange further underscores the positive sentiment of investors as they are focused on geopolitical developments and their impact on the economy and capital markets of the country.
Positive global cues and renewed investors’ confidence could further support the PSX’s bullish momentum during the upcoming sessions, provided that it remains bullish.
