Petrol and High-Speed Diesel Prices Jump Again in Latest Government Hike

Fuel prices in Pakistan have climbed further following a notification from the Petroleum Division. Petrol increased by Rs 5.58 and high-speed diesel rose by Rs 4.18 per liter.

The federal government has revised petroleum prices upward, pushing the cost of key fuels to new highs following adjustments issued by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA).

Under the latest notification, the updated rates are:

• Petrol (Premier Euro 5): Increased by Rs 5.58 to reach Rs 364.35 per liter.
• High-Speed Diesel (HSD): Increased by Rs 4.18 to stand at Rs 385.95 per liter.
• Kerosene Oil (SKO): Maintained at Rs 307.00 per liter.
• Light Diesel Oil (LDO): Maintained at Rs 267.06 per liter.

Continuous Pressure on Consumers

The fresh price adjustment follows a major upward revision announced just a day prior. It increases cost pressures on daily commuters, transport operators, and businesses

Analysts note that the continuous price increases are caused by changes in the global energy market and currency values. International oil prices are rising to their highest points in weeks due to growing conflicts in the Middle East.
