Petrol Price Cut by 43 Paisa, Diesel Rises by Rs3.47

The federal government has reduced the petrol price by 43 paisas per liter but increased the price of high-speed diesel (HSD) by Rs3.47 for September 18, 2026

Under the revised rates, petrol will cost Rs390.79 per liter, down from Rs391.22. The price of HSD has increased from Rs421.45 to Rs424.92 per liter.

The Petroleum Division notified the revised prices following the latest assessment by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA). The rates reflect changes in international petroleum product prices and other components of the pricing mechanism.

According to the latest notification, OGRA calculated the rates using a seven-working-day rolling average of Platts Arab Gulf prices. The import cost of petrol was set at Rs280.33 per liter, while the import cost of HSD rose to Rs318.05.

The latest adjustment provides only a small reduction for petrol users, while the higher HSD price increases fuel costs for motorists, transporters and businesses that rely on diesel.
