Petrol Price in Pakistan Drops by Rs. 2.71 per Liter, Diesel Rises

The government has reduced petrol prices by Rs. 2.71 per liter and increased high-speed diesel prices by 31 paisa. The revised rates took effect on October 22, offering some relief to petrol users while slightly raising costs for diesel consumers

According to a notification issued by the Petroleum Division, petrol now costs Rs. 379.31 per liter, down from Rs. 382.02. High-speed diesel (HSD) has risen to Rs. 390.11 per liter from Rs. 389.80.

The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority revised the prices under the government’s petroleum pricing mechanism. The Petroleum Division attributed the changes to global market developments, including changes in Platts rates, premiums and incidental costs.

The new rates apply from October 22, according to the Petroleum Division’s notification.
