The government has increased petrol prices by Rs 1.85 per liter and high-speed diesel (HSD) by Rs 1.75 in its latest fuel price revision, citing changes in the international oil market
Under the revised rates, petrol will cost Rs 377.91 per liter, up from Rs 376.06. High-speed diesel has increased from Rs 398.07 to Rs 399.82 per liter.
The Petroleum Division announced the revised prices through an official notification. The new rates take effect on October 29, 2026, and will remain applicable until the next revision.
Updated Petrol and Diesel Prices
| Fuel | Previous price | New price | Increase |
| Petrol | Rs 376.06 | Rs 377.91 | Rs 1.85 |
| High-speed diesel | Rs 398.07 | Rs 399.82 | Rs 1.75 |
Petrol is widely used by motorcycles, cars and other private vehicles. High-speed diesel powers much of Pakistan’s freight transport, public transport and agricultural machinery.
The increase in diesel prices may raise transport and operating costs, while the petrol hike adds to fuel expenses for motorists. The revised rates will remain in effect until the next scheduled price adjustment.
