Petrol Price Rises by Rs 6.88, HSD by Rs 5.62 in Pakistan

The federal government has increased the petrol price by Rs 6.88 per liter and high-speed diesel (HSD) by Rs 5.62, with the new rates taking effect from September 17, 2026

The new petrol price is Rs 391.22 per liter, while HSD will cost Rs 421.45 per liter. The revised rates were issued following the latest Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) assessment.

The previous petrol price was Rs 384.34 per liter. HSD was priced at Rs 415.83 per liter. The latest revision follows another increase in both fuel prices on September 16.

OGRA linked the latest increase mainly to higher international prices of petrol and diesel. Changes in Platts rates, premiums and other pricing factors also contributed to the revision.

Oil prices fell on Wednesday after reports that Saudi Arabia was offering additional crude cargoes through Oman.
