Petrol prices to reach a new height at Rs 233.89 in Pakistan

Miftah Ismail, Finance Minister has announced another price bomb of rupees of Rs24.03 to the public in an announcement on Wednesday. The minister said the current government is not in a position to tolerate subsidies on petroleum products. Therefore, have increased petrol prices by Rs. 24.03 making it Rs. 233.89 per liter. The back-to-back price fluctuation is followed three times in PMLN leadership.

Coming off 16 June, the new prices for petroleum products will be Rs 233.89 per liter, Rs 263.31 for diesel, Rs 211.43 for kerosene oil, and Rs 207.47 for diesel oil.

Miftah Ismail, at the press conference, criticized the previous PTI government and their approaches to the economy. He said, “Imran Khan had deliberately reduced the prices of petrol by giving subsidies”. Ismail said that the current government is bearing the burden of the previous government. He further added that the loss endured was Rs24.03 on petrol, Rs59.16 diesel, Rs39.49 kerosene oil, and Rs39.16 on light diesel oil. However, he added in the month of May the loss had elevated to Rs120 billion making it three times in number making it Rs 40.
