SBP Launches New Official Website with Faster Access, Urdu Support and Improved User Experience

The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has officially launched its redesigned website, offering a faster, more secure, and user-friendly digital experience for the public, businesses, financial institutions, researchers, journalists, and other stakeholders.

The SBP’s latest digital transformation journey culminated in the launch of its new official website, www.sbp.org.pk, on Wednesday, July 1, 2026.

Faster and Easier Access to SBP Information

The revamped website has been conceptualized to simplify accessibility to the official information of the State Bank of Pakistan, banking laws, banking circulars, publications, financial data and press releases, according to the State Bank of Pakistan.

The newly designed platform has an updated interface, making it easy and intuitive to navigate, so that visitors can easily access the information they need. There are also new search and filtering features added for greater ease and efficiency of use.

Bilingual Website in English and Urdu

The new SBP website is another feature that is particularly noteworthy for its bilingual support. Users can easily switch between English and Urdu, making official information more accessible to a wider audience across Pakistan.

The website is also responsive, which means that visitors can navigate it easily on all their devices – desktops, laptops, tablets and smartphones.

Accessibility Features for All Users

The State Bank stated that the website has been designed in compliance with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG). It incorporates accessibility features to ensure its usability for persons with disabilities, reflecting the bank’s commitment to inclusivity.

The website also features other crucial sections like a more streamlined and user-friendly representation of monetary policy, data on financial markets, banking regulations and other SBP services.

Supporting Transparency and Financial Inclusion

The new website marks a significant step in SBP’s digital transformation efforts and reinforces its focus on transparency, innovation and stakeholder engagement, the agency said.

The central bank strives to increase financial literacy and awareness within the financial sector in Pakistan by delivering reliable information and digital resources in a more accessible way.

Previous Website Available Until July 15

SBP’s previous website would continue to be available through an old URL on the home page until July 15, 2026, for ease of transition. This will enable users who are using the previous interface to access it while it is being phased out.

The new website of the State Bank of Pakistan is another development in the process of modernizing Pakistan’s digital public services and enhancing accessibility of all official banking information to all stakeholders.
