Significant Rise in Gold Prices for Second Consecutive Day in Local and Global Markets

Gold prices in Pakistan and international markets posted substantial gains for the second consecutive session on Friday. Local 24-karat gold jumping by Rs 5,200 per tola to reach Rs 477,136.

Bullion markets maintained a strong upward trend on Friday as gold rates recorded a sharp increase across domestic and international trading centers. The surge marks the second consecutive day of rising prices. The rise is driven primarily by momentum in international spot markets.

According to the latest data released by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewelers Association, the price of 24 karat gold rose by Rs 5,200 per tola, bringing the new rate to Rs 477,136. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold increased by Rs 4,458 to settle at Rs 409,067.

The sharp domestic price increase directly tracks gains in international bullion trading. On the global front gold spot price climbed by $52 per ounce, reaching $4,547 per ounce.

Local silver prices also registered notable gains. The silver price per tola increased by Rs 219, reaching Rs 7,379 in the local Sarafa market.
