In the Budget 2026/27, the Chief Minister of Sindh, the Honourable Mr. Murad Ali Shah, has announced a 7% salary and pension hike for government employees, which will bring relief to the people in the economic front.
It announced during the presentation of the provincial budget of Rs 3.562 trillion in the Sindh Assembly. The salary and pension increase applies to all provincial government employees and pensioners and designed to increase their purchasing power and help support public sector households.
Relief for Government Employees
One of the main features of the Sindh budget is the 7% pay and pension hike. The government announced that this being done to alleviate financial burdens on employees and provide greater financial stability for retired pensioners.
Budget Focus on Welfare
During the presentation of the budget, Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah highlighted the provincial government’s dedication to policies of social welfare and support for employees. He pointed out that even in the face of economic difficulties, the government has given prominence to the relief for the salaried class.
Impact of Salary Increase
The salary hike expected to benefit thousands of government employees across Sindh, including administrative staff, teachers, healthcare workers, and law enforcement personnel. The monthly pension benefit will also rise by the same amount.
With the aim of supporting the economy, the government of the province of Sindh has enhanced the salaries and pensions of public sector staff in the Sindh Budget 2026–27. The 7% increase regarded as a vital relief measure and one of the major features of this provincial budget.
