The Board of Intermediate Education Karachi has revealed that the annual examinations for twelfth-grade students in the intermediate class will begin on Tuesday, May 30, 2023. Professor Dr. Saeeduddin, Chairman of the Board, made the announcement during a recent press briefing held at the Interboard Office conference hall.
With more than 115,000 students preparing to sit for the intermediate examinations this year, the Board has taken meticulous steps to ensure a transparent and secure examination process. To guarantee the safety of students and maintain uninterrupted facilities, authorities have reached out to key stakeholders, including the Chief Secretary Home Department, Universities and Boards Department, Commissioner Karachi, Director-General Rangers, IG Police, and Electricity, Water, and Sewerage Board.
As part of the effort to prevent cheating, the Board has strictly prohibited the use of mobile phones, tablets, laptops, and any electronic devices within the examination centers. Those found in possession of unauthorized materials or mobile phones during the exams will face severe consequences, including disqualification from the examination for a period of three years.
In order to enforce these measures effectively, Section 144 will imposed around the examination centers, limiting the access of unrelated individuals and the operation of photocopy machine shops. The timely delivery of question papers and the collection of answer copies will overseen by Center Control Officers, with Vigilance Officers appointed at each examination center to ensure continuous monitoring.
Chairman Professor Dr. Saeeduddin emphasized the Board’s commitment to maintaining a fair examination process.
“The Board is dedicated to preventing malpractice during the examinations,” stated Professor Dr. Saeeduddin. “We have taken extensive measures to ensure the integrity of the process, and strict actions will taken against anyone attempting to compromise its fairness.”
The annual examinations for Intermediate Part II in Karachi encompass a range of subjects, including Science Pre-Medical, Pre-Engineering, General Science, Home Economics, Commerce Regular, Commerce Private, Arts Regular, Arts Private, Special Candidates, Home Economics groups, and Diploma in Physical Education. The exams will continue until Tuesday, June 27, 2023.
