NCOC Extends Schools Closure Till September 15

National Command and Operation Centre or NCOC extends the closure of educational institutions till coming Wednesday, September 15.

The Planning Minister Asad Umar took the decision in the NCOC meeting at Islamabad. However, they also decided to impose extra non-pharmaceutical interventions (NPIs) in areas that have a high ratio of Coronavirus.

Assistant Commisioners (ACs) along with NCOC team visited different areas including Bhara Kahu, G-11, Badia Mera G-15, and H-8. Concerned ACs sealed and imposed fines on the private sector institutions for doing their operations despite the clear cut closure instructions.

As per the notification, restrictions are extended in fifteen districts of Punjab that are Lahore, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Sargodha, Mianwali, Khanewal, Bahawalpur, Rahim Yar Khan, and Multan. Islamabad and districts of KP including Swabi, Swat, Abbottabad, Dera Ismail Khan, Peshawar, Malakand, Haripur, and Mansehra are included.
