In a significant move towards inclusivity, Sindh province has implemented religious education specific to the faith of its primary school students belonging to minority communities. This initiative caters to the diverse religious landscape of the region, ensuring a more personalized and comprehensive educational experience for all.
Recognizing the need for an inclusive approach, Sindh has developed a dedicated curriculum and printed textbooks specifically designed for Hindu, Sikh, Christian, and other minority faiths. This ensures students receive religious instruction aligned with their own traditions and beliefs, fostering a deeper understanding of their heritage.
Building upon this initial success, the government plans to extend the program to secondary and intermediate levels in the coming phase. Additionally, dedicated teacher recruitment will address the need for qualified instructors well-versed in the specific religious teachings.
With over 361,485 minority students enrolled in Sindh’s education system, this initiative caters to a significant segment of the population. By providing faith-based education, the government aims to foster a more inclusive learning environment that acknowledges and respects the diverse religious identities of its students.
