The Punjab government has issued strict instructions to keep all educational institutions closed across the province until August 24.
Provincial Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat stated that no public or private school is permitted to start regular classes before August 24. He urged school management to comply fully with government directives and ensure students receive the complete duration of their summer vacation.
Focus on Remedial Learning Camps
The education minister explained that the provincial government allocated a full month of the summer break specifically for “Remedial Learning Camps”. These camps aim to address educational losses, improve basic foundational skills and strengthen overall student performance before new academic session.
The government also advised parents and students to ignore unverified social media reports. They should only rely on official Punjab government notifications regarding reopening of school.
