Punjab Schools to Observe Nine-Day Eid Break
The Punjab government has declared a nine-day holiday for Daanish schools in celebration of Eid 2024. The holiday period will commence on April 6 (Saturday) coinciding with the Eid ul Fitr festivities and will continue until April 14 (Sunday). This extended break aims to provide ample time for students to prepare for and engage in the joyous celebrations.
While rumors circulated regarding a potential four-day holiday extension from April 9 to April 12, inclusive of the weekend, it has been clarified that no such announcement has been made by the government. Typically, Eid holidays commence a day prior to the festival to ensure individuals can adequately prepare and participate in the festivities.
This year, Eidul Fitr holidays for schools are expected to span from April 9 (Tuesday) to April 12 (Friday), aligned with the weekend holidays on Saturday and Sunday.
