In a recent development, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Education Department has unveiled a revised schedule for school timings during the holy month of Ramadan.
The updated timetable indicates that all primary schools across the province will kick off their classes at 7:30 am. The school day will wrap up at 11:10 am, with an earlier closing time of 10:05 am on Fridays.
The notification further elaborates that middle, secondary, and higher secondary schools will also start their day at 7:30 am. These institutions will conclude their sessions at 12:15 pm, with an exception on Fridays when the schools will close at 10:25 am.
In related news, the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee is gearing up for a meeting in Peshawar on March 11. The meeting, chaired by Maulana Abdul Khabeer Azad, is scheduled to take place after the Asr prayers. The agenda of the meeting is to observe the sighting of the Ramadan moon.
Simultaneously, various zonal committees will hold meetings in their respective regions to gather and evaluate moon sighting reports. If the crescent is sighted, the commencement of the holy month will be on March 12.
