Chehlum is marked 40 days after Ashura to mark martyrdom of Imam Hussain (A.S.) and his companions at the Battle of Karbala. It is celebrated with religious ceremonies, processions and special security measures across Sindh and Pakistan.
The authorities have appealed to the people to adhere to the traffic instructions and give cooperation to the law enforcement agencies during Chehlum.
