Sindh Schools to Reopen from August 1, Classes to Be Held Six Days a Week

The Sindh Education Department has announced that all government and private schools in Sindh will operate six days a week from August 1, following the issuance of an official notification.

Classes will now resume, as outlined in the notification, in all public and private school facilities throughout the province from Monday through Saturday. The new schedule will be enforced in all districts of Sindh from 1st August.

The department said the decision covers government and private schools and that Saturday will be another regular working/teaching day. School Administrations have been instructed to make sure that the new weekly schedule is followed.

The new order comes after the previous one was issued on March 31 when Sindh Education Minister Sardar Shah had announced two-day weekend for schools in the province. According to that policy schools enjoyed a weekly holiday on Saturday and Sunday.

Therefore, with the new notification, the schools of all the provinces of Sindh can resume their academic week, which is now a six-day one from Monday to Saturday, to continue regular education.
